A range of fertilisers for fine turf greens and bowling greens, especially those with sand-based rootzones. The Sierraform© range consists of homogeneous, mini granular, slow release fertilisers in five different analyses designed to release their nutrients over an 8-10 week period on fine turf.

The products feature Scotts Methylene Urea technology which releases its nutrient according to soil temperature, moisture and bacterial activity, over a period of 8-10 weeks according to the product, application rate and soil type.

Methylene Urea exists in a number of different forms governed principally by the length fo the polymer chains making up the compound.
Short chain Methylene Urea compounds rely on a combination of hydrolysis and soil temperature to break down the chains releasing Nitrogen at a fast rate compared to long chain Methylene Urea's. These rely solely on bacterial activity for their breakdown and therefore release nutrients at a slower rate.
